Plastic injection

We remain at your disposal to share our know-how and our expertise to guide you when studying or designing your parts from prototyping to full production.

Injection moulding of any thermopastic materials

Injection moulding of any thermoplastic material

Thanks to our know-how and machinery park we can propose you the manufacture of all your parts in thermoplastic materials (standard or not, glass fiber reinforced or not, rigid or flexible) in injection moulding.
Let us put our know-how and our expertise at your service to guide you during the engineering or designing phases of your parts from prototyping to full production of the final plastic part.
Indeed, ActuaPlast has an in-house design office consisting of more than 10 persons: designers, project managers, programmers, who, after having downloaded your CAD files (softwares used: CATIA and SOLIDWORKS), are able to study your part and to look for innovative solutions together with your own team.

Manufacture of your assemblies and sub-assemblies

  • Technology selection : mono-material injection, over-moulding process, bi-material injection for prototyping only
  • Rheology of the part (if necessary)
  • Material options according to your technical requirements
  • Material options to manufacture the mould and sub-assemblies according to the injected material and according to the quantity of parts to be manufactured (prototypes, small, medium or even large runs)
  • Balancing of the part according to its splitline
  • Study of the movements
  • Study of the thermoregulation to optimize the production time according to the material used
  • Study of the welding areas and addition of reference points if necessary
  • Serigraphy, painting, metal coating (chromium plating for example)

Manufacture of the coresponding toolings.

Our Engineering Department has a large expertise in the specific methodologies relating to the injection moulding fields and the auxiliary equipment ones.

  • Standard injection moulds
  • Mould cavities are adjusted in a standard mould base belonging to ActuaPlast and aimed at prototyping and small production runs
  • Chemical graining
  • Hot plate welding equipment
  • Spin welding equipment
  • Ultrasonic equipment (welding guns)
  • Automatic leak test equipment (ATEC bench)
  • Conforming tools
  • Control means

Small, medium and large production runs of non-automotive parts

With its fully equipped workshop, ActuaPlast manufactures moulds in aluminium or steel materials and is consequently able to manufacture parts in small and/or medium runs from thousands of parts for the aluminium moulds to several hundreds of thousands of parts for the steel moulds.
Indeed we are able to work as much for the aerospace industry, which often requires small volumes of around 10 parts/year, as for large production runs of 4 million parts while complying with your technical and quality requirements.
We are able to deliver parts all around the world and we also produce parts in the United States of America for the same quantities. Thanks to our subsidiary based in the USA, we can deliver South America and North America as well.

Assembly of sub-assemblies or complete functions

The advantage of plastic injection is the production of finished parts in one operation only. If requested, we can also assemble several injected parts together to get the final part as we are equipped with several welding means: hot plate welding, spin welding, ultrasonic welding, vibration welding and hot air welding.
Post-operations are also possible on injected parts. Indeed we can machine several plastic parts and weld them onto the injected part and thus equipped electronically your parts by screwing some sensors.

Design and implementation of assembly and inspection means

Our Engineering Department has a large expertise in the specific methodologies relating to the moulds and auxiliary equipment.

Assembly means

  • Welding supports (hot air welding gun; vibration welding; spin welding; hot plate welding; ultrasonic welding)

Inspection means

  • Checking gauges or control means aimed at the inspection of the part geometry
  • Cross section boxes
  • Automatic leak test equipment (ATEC bench)
  • 3D inspection machine
  • Scanning arm
  • Tensile test bench
  • Pressure tests (air in water)
  • Vacuum tests (suction)
  • Temperature test
  • Tensile strength test (N.m) (torque wrench)
  • Thickness measurement through ultrasonic means (without cutting the part)
  • Go / No Go test aimed at the ends of parts
  • Check-list of the possible defects
  • Conforming tools
